Confident Calculations Tutoring

Melissa is a veteran math teacher with almost a decade of experience in education. She has a degree in Mathematics, a Teaching Certificate in Secondary Mathematics, and a Masters in Educational Leadership. She has taught courses from Algebra 1 up through Calculus 1 in the Seattle area and has been tutoring since 2023. She is passionate about supporting all learning styles and focusing on the “why” behind the math instead of just memorizing the “how”.

Melissa has experience teaching and tutoring students with varied learning needs, including students with physical & mental learning disabilities, those identified as gifted, and students with English-language needs. She strongly believes that all people can learn math, and the first step in that process is developing self-confidence and math-confidence. Melissa looks forward to supporting you and your students on their learning journey into the wonderful world of mathematics.
